00The Yolo Force Main is the
segment of the LNWI that commences at the Southern Sacramento River Crossing
and proceeds north through Sacramento County farmlands to the location
of the proposed South River Pump Station. The approximately 4.5-mile long
set of twin 66-inch diameter pipelines runs along the Yolo Shortline Railroad
for approximately two miles. From here it runs across farms and terminates
in vineyards. In many locations the alignment is in or near wooded areas
and waterways, including a major water crossing at Babel Slough.
