00NATM Tunnels: Four tunnels were constructed under two historic structures using the New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM). Two of the four tunnels were constructed as part of a future turnout line. Cover over the tunnels ranges from 5 to 30 meters, with some of the tunnels coming within less than a meter of each other. Reinforced shotcrete and lattice girders were used for initial tunnel support, followed by PVC membrane waterproofing and a cast-in-place concrete final lining.
