00During the design phase of MetroWest, Jacobs Associates participated in planning and preliminary design, assisted during the EIR process, and assisted the owner in developing the contract packages.
00As part of a constuctability review, Jacobs Associates assisted in evaluating the tunnel for TBM boreability through the anticipated very hard granitic rock conditions. Jacobs Associates provided the final design of the tunnel and shafts, cost estimates, and construction methods consulting for multiple deep shafts for these hard rock tunnels of 14-foot inside diameter and 88,800 feet long, and 12-foot inside diameter and 4,200 feet long.
