00The project is comprised of the East contract (6 miles) and the West contract (5 miles), 19-foot excavated, 12-foot (inside) diameter tunnels. Jacobs Associates assisted in the planning of the geotechnical investigation and was responsible for all tunnel and portal designs for the project. Jacobs Associates authored the Geotechnical Baseline Report, was Engineer of Record for all drawings and specifications, and is currently providing engineering services, consisting of field engineering and inspection of pre-excavation grouting measures, during construction.
