The manual was an industry-wide effort to improve contract practices, thereby making projects more cost-effective for owners and more profitable for contractors. Part 1 of the book focuses on the foundations for effective contracts, such as the relationships of the parties, planning, risk management, and more. Part 2 describes best practices for contract provisions, payment mechanisms, and dispute resolution.
