Daniel N. Adams, PE

Principal

Dan Adams is the president of Jacobs Associates. He has 22 years of experience providing detailed design, construction management, and construction claims services on tunnels and underground structures. His career has involved him in heavy civil underground projects across the U.S.—from San Francisco to Boston, and from Providence to Seattle. Mr. Adams’ work also includes four years with Jacobs Associates in Australia.

Mr. Adams works primarily in the firm’s Pacific Northwest region, as he is currently the firm’s project manager for the North Link Light Rail Transit Final Design for Sound Transit, and the project director for construction management services on the Ballard Siphon Replacement Project for King County. He is also responsible for several strategic initiatives within the firm, and in doing so spends part of his time working internally with staff in New York and San Francisco.

Mr. Adams has authored numerous professional papers on tunnel design and construction. He earned his BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and he is a registered professional civil engineer in Washington, California, Idaho, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Utah, and Australia.
