Dan Dobbels Joins Jacobs Associates
October 01, 2009 - Dan Dobbels, PE, has joined Jacobs Associates as a Senior Associate in its Boston office. Mr. Dobbels has more than 25 years of experience in planning, design, and construction of a variety of underground engineering projects, including water/wastewater conveyance tunnels and pipelines; underground transit systems; electric, gas, and other utility tunnels and pipelines; hydroelectric facilities; rock slopes; waterfront structures; and deep foundations. He also has extensive experience in the application of trenchless technology for new pipeline construction. Mr. Dobbels’ practical knowledge covers a broad range of a project’s life cycle, including planning, implementation, and reporting of geotechnical investigations; conceptual-level planning and design studies; detailed design and preparation of contract documents; construction phase services including office and resident engineering; claims analysis and evaluation and forensic studies. Mr. Dobbels has BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and is a member of a variety of national and international professional associations.
