In order to help secure and protect our nation’s water supplies, as well as maintain flood control facilities, Jacobs Associates provides a gamut of design and construction support services for dam inlets and outlets. These services include tunnel design and construction management, geotechnical instrumentation consulting, slope analysis and slope stabilization design, and construction engineering such as deep excavation support design. We consult on various types of underground and subaqueous structures, such as inlet towers, shafts, cofferdams, connector tunnels, and underwater approach channels. Often, these projects have environmental and logistical constraints, including working both in the wet and in the dry. We employ a number of creative approaches to deal with these issues and keep projects within budget and on schedule.
