Project Engineer

Jacobs Associates' Pasadena office is looking for a Project Engineer with 5 to 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with experience in the design of temporary excavation support systems, underground structures, ground improvement, or tunnels.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical or structural emphasis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience with creating and maintaining detailed technical reports.
• Ability to complete a variety of assignments, such as the development of drawings, specifications, and technical memoranda that present the basis of design.

Other qualities that are strongly desired include:

• A background in soil mechanics, rock mechanics, grouting, dewatering, settlement analysis, pipeline design, or construction engineering.
• Field experience
• The ability to work on multiple projects with a variety of staff.
• MS degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis.
• Familiarity with numerical modeling software (Plaxis or FLAC).
• Project management experience and demonstrated experience in leading staff.
